The study of leadership theory evolution

There are four global conceptual frameworks in the study of leadership theory evolution: trait, style, transformation, and complexity. The role of the leader grew from focusing on individuals running the entire organization to a broader role of facilitator of employee transformation and ultimately a catalyst for change. The ultimate outcome is the diffusion of power among the team.
